New Albany to move to luxury car rental service: City council
Albany, N.Y. — Albany City Council President John Delgaudio said Tuesday that he would sign a lease with a luxury car-rental company to provide car-sharing services in the city.
Delgaudio is expected to sign the lease with the New Albany Automotive Rentals LLC in late May, Delgado said in a statement Tuesday.
The city will partner with New Albany Auto Rental for car-share service.
Delgado said the leasing of luxury vehicles by private car rental companies can help the city and its residents save money.
In 2016, New Albany residents spent $3.6 million on rental cars, up $600,000 from 2015, according to Delgado’s office.
