Car rental flORIDA – Car rental company CarRentals is currently experiencing a spike in traffic in the city of Buffalo as a result of the Hurricane Irma, according to a spokesperson for the company.
According to the spokesperson, the company has experienced “record” traffic on their website.
“The traffic is up across the board,” she said.
“Our team is working hard to get through the next few days.”
CarRenters spokesperson said traffic is “incredibly high” across Buffalo.
CarRents traffic is currently at over 200,000 visitors per hour.
“We’ve had a lot of people come to us and we’ve been seeing people driving from Miami and from Florida to Buffalo,” the spokesperson said.
Car rentals have also been impacted by the Hurricane as the company was forced to cancel plans to take customers from Florida.
“In Florida, we had to cancel our Florida booking on Monday because of Hurricane Irma,” the company said in a statement.
“However, we are now booked for Buffalo and are looking forward to returning to Florida and starting again soon.
